The whole, “boycotts squash free speech” bullshit that has been going around really has my gears grinding. This is not only outlandish, ridiculous, and a fine display of ignorance about what free speech is, it’s dangerous, as conservatives are using this line of reasoning to say that the public should have no idea as to who (and what interests) are funding political campaigns and lobbies.
