All of this is driven by the fact that the Republican Party is the Party of the Rich, and its top priority is to reward its wealthiest contributors. These donors stand to benefit tremendously from herding working class Americans into the “paycheck” trap, so that the majority are so bound by their financial needs and so limited by their lack of opportunity that they practically become slaves to their employers. I had speculated about this type of oligarchic future a while ago in an article but over the course of these elections, I have come to believe that this is really what will happen if Romney succeeds.

By systematically dismantling the public education system and clamping down on college aid, the GOP is ensuring that children from low and middle-income families are denied the opportunity to obtain the basic skills and training needed to land well-paying jobs in the future. The lack of job choice, combined with wage exploitation, debt, and discriminatory tax policies that only favor those in the highest income brackets, will widen the income gap in America even more. And finally, the removal of the social safety net will permanently relegate the working class (and their children) to “cog” status in the ruthless machine of runaway capitalism.

Great read!

The biggest danger I see in the USA is that people believe that Democrats offer some sort of alternative.  Why are blue-fanciers not paying attention to current events?  Why do they lionize Clinton and Obama - when these men are exemplars of the very plutocratic villainy they claim to oppose?

Blue is not an alternative; Dems are doing it to you right now.   It should make you ashamed that you bought into the road show the repubs have distracted you with.  Plutocracy wins even if the ridiculous Romney accidentally manages to be elected despite his handlers’ best efforts.  It certainly will not be threatened in the slightest by insurance-appeasing teen-assassinating corporate-sponsored Obama, folks.  Please please please wake up.

This is the same song they sold Obama to you with the first time around.  Did things get better, really?  Are the stats they fling at you representative of the experience people in your life are having?  Is Wall Street less powerful?  Are you getting better jobs?  Are the banks behaving fairly?  DO you have more access to better health care, now?

Ask yourself these questions

I ask myself how you can possibly see them both as the same.

Please explain how democrats are doing exactly the same.

The con doesn’t work if they are “the same”.  They are two arms of a headless plutocratic chaos in which you are frightened by one pretend-team into the arms of another, and consider your work finished.

Hasn’t it bothered you how well Obama serves the modern repub interest?  Gun-friendliest president of the past 40 years, corporate-friendliest, foreigner-killingest, rights-abusingest, most unitary executive of your lifetime?

Doesn’t it seem a little naked how much Romney’s campaign is designed to get your Obama vote in the can?

I think it’s because what’s happened in this country is that the right has moved so far right that the democrats have become slightly right of center and republicans have become far right.

I agree that the republicans have run a dreadful campaign this year, but I see it more as them not really wanting the presidency, because they don’t have a plan to actually fix anything.

They are planning on Obama having four more years and using the obstruction in the house and senate to make democrats look bad running up to the next presidential election.

That’s my take on it, anyway.
