Why? Why is it not the individuals decision? What if her parents are the rapists? What if her parents are Bible-humping morons who think that she needs to be punished for her sinfulness by having the baby against her will? What if her parents would beat the ever-loving shit out of her if they found out she was pregnant? Or disown her? Or kick her out of the house? Is that fair? Is that right? Is it OK to humiliate, punish and degrade someone by putting them in this situation when the actual solution is so simple?

Teenagers should protect BEFORE sex, not after. New York’s getting there, but still the wrong idea, allowing STDs to run rampant.
How about, “should protect before sex, but, after is a less desirable option that covers contingencies other birth control methods can’t.”
