Anonymous asked: Tumblr DID start a movement accusing Mitt Romney to try and discredit his win. A TON of people claimed he was cheating during the debate because he had a handkerchief. I'm not saying Joe Biden was drunk, I'm saying that both sides are being a bit ridiculous about losing. Liberals were being stupid with the handkerchief = cheating shit and conservatives are being stupid with the Joe Biden was drunk shit.
The difference is the movement you are talking about was isolated to tumblr and a few posts on reddit and didn’t gain any mainstream media traction.
Fox News is one of the most widely viewed cable “news” channels in the US, these are supposedly “trusted” media figures that reach hundreds of thousands, if not millions of viewers, not to mention it’s already showing up in other Fox News segments.
I think that’s a little different than some bloggers or reddit users posting things on the internet.
