$20 billion dollars a year to air condition tents in Afghanistan

NASA’s 2010 budget proposal (18.7 billion dollars)

OP YOU’RE A FUCKING IDIOTIC CUNT!!!!!! No offense.

But just so you know it’s motherfucking hot and dry as balls in Afghanistan, and I would rather my government try to do one thing right by keeping people from dying of heat stroke than searching for shit in outer space.

The fact that you have the gall to even think this is an issue pisses me the fuck off.

Thank you, and have a nice day.

No offense taken, because first off, I know for a fact that I am in no way a “A FUCKING IDIOTIC CUNT” and feel this may be your way of articulating the fact that you disagree with my position, even though it seems the point of the post went so far over your head that your hair failed to move in the subsequent breeze left in it’s wake.

Fist off, I refer you to the fact that NASA does MUCH more than “search for shit in outer space”.

I appreciate your passion, and understand why you may be “pissed the fuck off”, but if you look deeper, you will find that NASA’s research has contributed a lot in the fields technology, aeronautics, communications, computer science, military technology, ecology, meteorology, bio-technology, and various medical fields, and that’s just off the top of my head. (go Google it)

The point is, that NASA’s budget is less than we spend air conditioning tents in Afghanistan, yet there are those who want to cut NASA’s budget to a shoestring, and feels their research isn’t necessary because they believe all they do is “search for shit in outer space” when NASA is actually receiving LESS money annually than what the military spends running air conditioners, and in NASA’s case, we are getting quite the return for our investment.
