David Vitter is still in office, and his case is, perhaps, the worst of them all. In 2007 the Louisiana Senator apologized publicly, after his name was found on the Prostitution Client LIst for a famous DC Madam.
Vitter never faced a Senate Ethics Investigation, he never faced Criminal Charges in DC, or in Louisiana where he was implicated in a SEPARATE Prostitution scandal. Instead, he got a STANDING OVATION when he returned to the Senate and apologized in person. They embraced him. He’s back in the fold.
So why does Congressman Weiner have to go, and Vitter gets to stay? NOONE has been able to explain that. That’s because they can’t.
It’s just a different standard. The Republicans stood together and didn’t give a damn that their guy admitted to doing something that is obviously illegal. They even applauded him, and the media after a while they just let it go.
Whereas now, the media and the DEMOCRATS are insistently trying to hound Weiner out of town.
It makes no sense….but it’s Washington, it doesn’t have to.
BTW, of all things, tonight, David Vitter is collecting cash in DC! If you’re in Washington right now, you can run to the Vitter Fundraiser, being hosted tonight at a posh town house, belonging to a Republican lobbyist. It starts at 6:30, but you can still make it, just as long as you have $2500 to give Mr. Vitter.
Now, is ANYONE rushing to give Congressman Weiner anything but a one-way ticket out of town?

Fucking YES - the media pinpoints in on these things because the public seems to go apeshit over it, we need to focus our energy on shit that actually matters, events on the political landscape that can affect our lives and our rights, not these freaking sex scandals.

As Rep. Anthony Weiner’s alleged crotch-shot dominates the news, information on possible motives to deface Weiner’s credibility are surfacing under the radar. And as it appears, Weinergate just might be a smear campaign executed by conservative activists looking to defend Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas.
For months, Rep. Weiner has prompted Thomas to disclose the money his wife, Virginia Thomas made working for Liberty Central, a political organization that has openly opposed President Obama’s health care reform agenda. According to Weiner, Mrs. Thomas’ political affiliations put the justice’s impartiality on the bench in question.
Details of Virginia Thomas’ salary and other payments were disclosed Friday night as the press and most Americans prepared for the Memorial Day weekend.
The timing of Thomas’ disclosure quickly became ammunition for Weiner, who made it a point to shed light on the hush-hush disclosure via twitter, hurling numerous tweets at #ConflictedClarenceThomas.

Congressman Weiner claims that his Twitter account was hacked. Since I believe in innocence until proven guilty, I will give Congressman Weiner the benefit of the doubt for now.
But Andrew Breitbart and his cohorts don’t get that benefit of a doubt. They have been proven guilty several times over during their brief history of smear campaigns and misleadingly re-edited videos. Think Shirley Sherrod. Think ACORN. In short, Andrew Brietbart is a sleazy fucking liar.
Andrew Breitbart’s sole purpose of existence is to get rich by smearing the enemies of the Republican party and the special interests whom they serve. If Andrew Breitbart told me that it was raining outside I would open a window to verify it for myself. I don’t trust him any farther than I can throw Sarah Palin’s $150,000 wardrobe.
