A reddit user discusses the right wing media’s smearing of Michelle and Barack Obama, and is spot on.

DISCLAIMER: I’m really not comfortable with the use of racial slurs by the OP (which I have edited out), but his assessment of this is spot on.

What bothers me the most is a number of things, that at their base - has to do with nothing more than racism. The GOP, in this “politically correct” era, are too fucking chickenshit to come out and say [the n-word], so they do shit like this.

I know the people who talk like this. They’re people like my father, where behind closed doors, [the n-word] is common - it gets slung around every time Obama comes up, or Fresh Prince is passed while flipping channels.

It’s from fathers who raise kids who bring home a black friend one day to have him yell “get those [n-words] off my property” - making all the kids cry because they don’t understand what is wrong.

It’s from people like my father who is proud of the KKK flier from the rallies he used to attend in his youth. It’s from these assholes that rushed to sign up to Vietnam, not out of some sense of duty to the country, but because they were rushing to go kill some [slurs].

It’s nothing but racism. Not a single, non-racist person, has every said a damned thing against regulations on subsidized lunches.

Even when Palin was baking her protest cookies or Rush’s twinkie rants, all I see is bigotry. They might disagree with the idea of subsidized lunches all together but that has nothing to do with the changes Michelle Obama is making.

They’ll talk it up behind closed doors and to those they feel “are in the know” - but in the media, the politicians, and out in public and even on the internet, it’s all code, it’s all baiting bullshit.

Palin not welcome at GOP convention, Bush has become he-who-must-not-be-named. What can be said of a political organization that must erase all traces of its prior existence in order to be electable every cycle?

Sarah Palin says Obama wants to return to racial discrimination “that took place before the Civil War”

Sean Hannity brought Sarah Palin on his Fox News show yesterday to continue his discussion from the night before over the biggest non-story of the week— a video of President Obama from his days at Harvard Law School.

But during their discussion, Palin opened up a new front in her attack of President Obama, apparently suggesting America’s first black president wants to return to the days “before the Civil War”:

Now, it has taken all these years for many Americans to understand that that gravity, that mistake, took place before the Civil War and why the Civil War had to really start changing America. What Barack Obama seems to want to do is go back to before those days when we were in different classes based on income, based on color of skin.

Okay, so, this is how you fuel the fears of racists and whip them into a flurry.

I’m so tired of this bullshit from people like Palin, the argument doesn’t even fucking  make sense, and what it basically comes down to is the type of people who vote based on this kind of shit are too stupid to think for themselves and have whack jobs like Palin do their thinking for them.

Why in the age of information are these people not blasted in the media for making shit like this up. It’s so fucking frustrating to see so much of our political dialogue dominated by outright lies.

Today in Dumb: Fox News and Sarah Palin are outraged—outraged!—at this new White House Christmas card, because…well, that’s not entirely clear. Especially when you take a look at what the Fox Christmas card looks like.

Here’s that Fox Christmas card.

Wow Fox, way to put the “Christ” back in Christmas.
Or is that the way to put the “Jesus fucking Christ” back in the “Jesus fucking Christ you guys are fucking shit stirring jack ass hypocrites.”

Koch Industries’ Iranian Profits Used to Pay Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin
Yesterday, I wrote a post on Bloomberg Market Watch’s upcoming expose on the Koch brothers and Koch Industries. Well, that article made it online last night, and had a few more surprises for readers. It turns out that some, but not all, of the money that Koch Industries made in their deals with Iran is traceable. And I doubt you’ll be surprised about where Bloomberg’s reporters found it.
from Politicus USA:

Bloomberg revealed the deaths, bribes, felony charges, envelopes stuffed with cash, criminal violations, deliberate poisoning of the air with cancerous smoke, and hundreds of millions of fines behind the Koch Brothers. They revealed that employees are taught to cheat and steal under “The Koch Method.” Oh, and the Kochs sold millions of dollars in petrochemical equipment to Iran, a country recognized for sponsoring terrorism but also one of three countries in the George W Bush identified “Axis of Evil.”
It’s ironic that Sarah Palin, whom the Koch brothers money paid to speak on behalf of the “Tea Party,” has accused President Obama of “palling around with terrorists.” See, the money from those petrochemical sales funded Americans for Prosperity which funds the Tea Party which pays people like Sarah Palin and Glenn Beck to speak. David Koch is in fact the founder of Americans for Prosperity. This money trail is no longer murky.
Based on an analysis of FEC filings and IRS disclosure, Kenneth P Vogel of Politico reported this morning, “POLITICO’s analysis of disclosures filed with the Internal Revenue Service and Federal Election Commission found that the large groups spend big bucks on salaries, like the $500,000 that FreedomWorks paid its chairman, Dick Armey, endorsements from radio hosts like Glenn Beck and Mark Levin, and speaking fees to movement heroes like Sarah Palin and Samuel “Joe the Plumber” Wurzelbacher, not to mention millions more on consultants and ad buys.”
Explaining how the groups like Americans for Prosperity and Freedom Works fund the Tea Party, Vogel detailed, “All the groups say they provide training, yard signs or help planning rallies and booking speakers. The Express has held dozens of rallies around the country and in April reported paying a $750 honorarium to Wurzelbacher, while Americans for Prosperity in 2010 spent $1.9 million on event planning, and $253,000 on honoraria including a $128,000 payment to the speakers’ bureau that represents Palin, with whom AFP had contracted to speak at its Defending the American Dream Summit in Clarkston, Mich., in May 2010.”
AFP also paid Palin to go to Wisconsin to tell the Fox brethern how bad unions were. Clearly we can see how well her employers treat people. Why would anyone need a union? Then there’s Glenn Beck, paid by Freedom Works. The Kochs denied having anything “specific” to do with Freedom Works, but Karoli at Crooks and Liars traced Koch brothers money into the origins of Freedom Works.

Wait? What?

Wait? What?

Why I would never vote for Sarah Palin.

Why I would never vote for Sarah Palin.

girl-non-grata:

Palin’s supporters attempted to revise history based on her recent account of Paul Revere’s ride. The best one basically claims Revere went to WARN THE BRITISH that THEY WERE IN DANGER because the revolutionaries were pissed off and armed, YEE HAW.

This is some “1984” shit right here.

We have never been at war with Eurasia. We are at war with Eastasia. We have always been at war with Eastasia.

Really, it should come as no surprise that the same type of mentality that will reject anything evidence based over faith and want to revise science education to reflect said faith wouldn’t be above revising history as well.

Their devotion to Palin seems almost religious, doesn’t it?
