You know, actually none of those numbers add up to percentages…

Whoever takes God over knowledge is batshit insane, and I have no qualms about saying that.

There is no god = 139

I thought about it, and then my head started hurting.

We come from monkeys huh?

Who do you go to when you suffer? Who do you go to when the world abandons you? I go to Christ. Do you go to a monkey?

I want to frame this and hang it above my bed

I go to something that actually exists: My parents and my brother.

I go to myself, after realizing god doesn’t exist, I realized all that strength, all the resolve, all the drive to keep going, came from within.

In that the majority of the settlers of the original 13 states practiced some derivation of Christianity, this is true. Just ignore the fact that before the continent was named after Amerigo Vespucci, it was inhabited by millions of people, of…

Christian Progressives Censored by Facebook

[SOURCE]

A group called “The Christian Left” is trying to bring Christians together on Facebook to do what they’re supposed to do: support progressive causes and candidates and fight for human rights, including those of LGBT people.

This is the ad they ran:

Are you a Christian? Are you a Liberal or a Progressive too? Do you feel alone in the ‘Conservative Christian’ world? Join us.
Facebook pulled the ad due to “negative user feedback.”

It’s pretty obvious what’s going on.  The “religion card” is a right-wing trick.  It effectively cows the progressives, because we don’t really like to bring religion into things, even if we’re religious.

It’s time to start taking back ownership of this cultural artifact.  It’s time to make the “religion card,” lose its strategic value.  We (particularly the “we” that is Christian) can point out that Christian values are progressive values.  There’s nothing exclusionary about that.  Is it unnecessarily dragging religion into the public square?  Not really.  Religion is already in the public square and the right won’t stop putting it there until we defuse its power as a wedge issue.  This is what “The Christian Left” is trying to do, and the Christian Nationalists are trying to stop it before it gets started.

I really don’t know much about Facebook, so any suggestions on how to fight this ridiculous censorship of a rather innocuous ad would be appreciated.

(P.S. Please do not use this as an opportunity to announce how little you care because you don’t believe in any of that god crap.  That’s not helpful.)

Being a non-believer, I still think that if a group is trying to do something positive, more power to them.

It sounds like this is a group of Christians that are actually trying to act like, well, Christians, and they are being censored by other Christians.

Funny how when some people actually try to follow the teachings of their Christ the assholes try to shut them down, I fully agree with the author of this article.

COME AT ME BRO

"If Christ was in fact God, he knew the persecutions that would be carried on in his name; he knew the millions that would suffer death through torture; and yet he died without saying one word to prevent what he must have known, if he were God, would happen."
