[TW] Canadian feminist activist receives rape threats, death threats and other abuse after being targeted by Men’s Rights Activists

(manboobz.com) - And so the MRAs have found yet another woman to hate.

Earlier this month, as many of you no doubt know, a Men’s Rights group sponsored a lecture at the University of Toronto. The event drew protesters, and the protesters drew MRAs with video cameras. One of the MRAs filmed a confrontation between a red-haired feminist activist and a number of MRAs who continually interrupted her as she tried to read a brief statement.

Her crime? She wasn’t exactly polite in responding to the interrupters. And so, after video of the confrontation was uploaded to YouTube, and linked to on the Men’s Rights subreddit and elsewhere, she became a virtual punching bag for the angry misogynists of the internet.

A Voice for Men, naturally, led the charge, running  an article by Canadian MRA Dan Perrins labeling her “Little red frothing fornication mouth” and commenting on her breasts. The Amazing Atheist weighed in with a video I couldn’t bring myself to even watch.

Since being targeted by angry YouTube misogynists and MRAs, the red-haired activist has received death threats, rape threats and literally hundreds of other hateful and harassing messages. She’s also been “doxxed” — that is, she’s had her personal information plastered all over the internet, including on A Voice for Men’s forum. Ten days after being uploaded to YouTube, the video of her faceoff against the MRAs has garnered more than 300,000 views, and YouTubers are still leaving threats and insults and crude sexual comments.

This, apparently, is what “Men’s Human Rights Activism” consists of: the doxxing and harassment of individual women.

There are screen caps of several of the messages she has been receiving under the read more link.

Be warned, several of them are very triggering. This kind of thing needs to see the light of day, though, as MRAs like to pretend that this doesn’t happen.

Atheists face death threats on Fox Facebook page; re: 9/11 cross

[SOURCE]

American Atheists argue that inclusion of the 9/11 cross and the exclusion of representations suitable to non-Christians constitutes a violation of the First and Fourteenth Amendments to the Constitution of the United States.

Apparently for many self identified Christians, the request by atheists for fair and equal treatment under the law was too much to handle. The explosion of hate coming off the Fox News Facebook page is alarming.

Some more hate spewing from Christians on Fox News’ Facebook page, I posted some of these yesterday, but came across this article, which had even more screen caps, and I feel this can’t be re-blogged enough, this needs as much attention as possible, moderates need to call out the more hateful aspects of their religion, someone needs to let these people know that this kind of behavior is unacceptable.

This, this right here is why I have a problem with religion, look at these people, they sound an awful lot like terrorists don’t they?

These people hold no value on a fellow human’s life just because they don’t believe the same as they do, and people wonder why I’m angry, why I’m worried about what kind of world my children will be living in.

I especially love the guy who says “few groups are filled with more hatred than atheists” how ironic.

Someone please explain to me how this is justified?

These are evil people.

CHERRY HILL, N.J. — A New Jersey teenager says she’s received threats since challenging U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann to a debate over the Constitution.

Ann Myers challenged the tea party favorite in a letter dated April 29. After it started getting media attention last weekend, commenters on tea party websites have threatened to publish her home address and some have threatened violence.

The 16-year-old from Cherry Hill says several commenters have called her a “whore.”

Her father, Wayne, says he’s concerned for his daughter’s safety.

But Cherry Hill Police Lt. William Kushina says anonymous online threats like these are usually empty.

Myers says the Minnesota congresswoman misstates or distorts facts about the Constitution. Bachmann’s office told The Courier-Post of Cherry Hill that it won’t respond to the debate challenge.

Tea party websites have threatened to publish her home address and some have threatened violence. This is a fucking 16 year old we are talking about here!!!

Seriously? They’re calling her a whore and threatening her life because she wants to debate Michele Bachmann over the constitution?

This is what’s wrong with this country.
