I'm a first generation Hispanic dude from Southern California so there really isn't any racism I have to with deal on a daily basis but a lot of people from around here automatically labels "the south" as a vast wasteland of racist republican voters. Thinking about taking a road trip down there soon and to be honest I'm a bit scared. Any thoughts?
I’m from the south, a Daytona native (they have a freaking NASCAR track there).
It’s different in the south. Racism is more out in the open and less subtle. There is a lot of condescending from white people towards black people.
Just be prepared for the whites down there to kind of have this “air” about them where they think they are superior to you.

I just paid $4.01 a gallon in LA yesterday so hopefully it does go that low. Better than the $4.50 last month though.
It’s down to about $3.45 now in Louisville, but I think we tend to run a little lower than the national average.
