Perhaps though, before accusing me of being cruel and hurtful, you can look at what I’ve received on tumblr, and see if it is comparable.
a) Just because some people have said mean things to you doesn’t absolve you of your responsibility and history of being cruel and hurtful. You’re a jackass. Fucking live with it. Don’t pawn this shit off on “OH BUT OTHER PEOPLE ARE SOOOO MUCH MEANER! LOOK AT THEIR BAAAAD LANGUAGE!” because that’s just pathetic. b) You had two anons which directly came from my blog, presumably (considering it was after your asinine attempt to manipulate me during a family tragedy, and both had to do with you being cruel, and one in particular—which followed this message, proving you saw my response to your fucked up message—specifically mentioned what you did) and haven’t yet apologized for what you did to me. So no, don’t play up this whole saintly martyr act, “I’m pure and innocent, look at all the people who are mean to meeeee! I’m practically the next Jesus Christ! And if I’ve ever so much as hurt a fly, please let me know!” because it’s bullshit. You took “mean quotes” directly from the comments in the #notes on my response, meaning you SAW what I wrote, you KNEW it pissed me off, but have you apologized? Fuck no! 99% of pro-life people don’t do any of those things! You are taking the minority and the extremists and making it out to be the majority which is completely wrong in every sense. Remember that woman who had the dead fetus inside her when you were escorting and went to the clinic to have it removed and how the protesters tried to keep her from getting out of the car, then tired to keep her from getting into the clinic?
That story has really stuck with me, it displayed just how disgusting these people really are.

This morning was an especially difficult exercise in self-control and anger management. This post will be far shorter than the last one, because I really don’t want to talk about it more than strictly necessary because it is disgusting, but I feel like this nasty behaviour needs to be exposed.
Before we continue, while I didn’t include a trigger warning, anyone sensitive to miscarriages or anything along those lines may not want to continue reading.
Today I met one of the protesters, Mary. She’s a chaser, she’ll follow women out of their car, she’ll stand by the car door so it’s hard for them to get out. Well, the young woman in question today wasn’t brooking any of Mary’s nonsense, so when Mary pulled her standing-by-the-door shtick, she opened the door roughly against her. And as soon as Mary began talking, she hauled off and smacked her right across the face.
I heard about all of this through hearsay (and also about how the woman’s companion chased Mary around the parking lot) and while there was a tiny voice saying “Yay!” in my head, my heart also sunk—because I’m learning that any action you take against these people, even in the face of cruelty, will be used against you. I’m learning that as an Escort, it’s my job to hopefully try and calm these situations down—not encourage them. …But I’d be lying if I said I didn’t admire the family giving Mary a hard time.
Anyway, the young girl was with her mother and father, and the mother was screaming at all the protesters who nearly created a mob. Another Escort leaned close to me and said, “It’s a dead fetus.”
I was shocked to my core. The family, even the girl herself, had been yelling this to the protesters, that she wasn’t there for an abortion, but it was falling on deaf ears. Instead of listening to the heartache of the young girl and shutting up and letting her get the treatment she deserved, they treated her like a sinner—a murderer.
More concrete, real-life evidence that these antis don’t give a fuck about the people going into the clinics, about people PERIOD, they don’t listen, and they have absolutely no love or heart for anyone but themselves, despite how badly they want you to believe otherwise.
So I escorted at the clinic for the first time this morning—well, more shadowed and learned than anything, and was bombarded by the anti’s any time I strayed too far from Pam or Rita—and while I have plenty of interesting things to talk about, the one that weighs most heavily on my mind is the biggest display of anti-choice hypocrisy I have ever witnessed in my life.
Sure, we all know how little they actually value life, and we all hear the stories about “Once the fetus is out, they stop caring” and so on and so forth, but the truth of their blatant disregard for actual LIFE was shoved directly in my face. While my heart goes out to the people involved, I could not have asked for a better, clearer example of what anti’s really care about.
I’d been standing around, chatting with the two women there that morning, Rita and Pam. I stuck close to either one or the other all morning, because anytime I got too far away, it felt like the anti’s circled me like sharks—when I first got out of the car I was hassled, them thinking I was there for the procedure, so I said loud and clear and directly to the nearest woman wearing a vest, “I want to be an Escort.”
They still didn’t leave me alone of course, wondering why “a girl so young and impressionable would choose to help such a thing” and the like, and shoved multiple pamphlets my way, but I’m pretty proud of how I handled the situation. I was polite, despite quivering with rage, and only got somewhat abrasive when Ed decided to practically corner me, bludgeoning me with questions—which I think I handled well, or at least, Pam seemed impressed.
Anyway, the three of us were standing outside the clinic, when all the sudden there was a HUGE crash at the intersection of Second Street and Market. Four cars were involved. I gasped and grabbed Pam’s arm, and in seconds Rita and I were headed down to the corner, Rita with her phone out and already dialing 911. Pam remained behind to watch for potentials, but I couldn’t tear my eyes away from the wreck. Everyone but the woman in the Pontiac was out of their cars—two men were very pissed, one older man was practically limping, and the woman… wasn’t moving. I was horrified—I’d never witnessed a wreck before, so this was intense, and there were car parts everywhere—someone very easily could have died.
But then I noticed, we were the only ones there. Some joggers were beside us, watching, but otherwise, we were alone. I turned around, and sure enough, not a single anti had moved to check the scene. Not a one seemed concerned in the SLIGHTEST that someone nearly DIED just FEET away from them. No one cried out, no one batted an eyelash—they simply continued shouting prayers at the doors and deaf ears, and I felt a rage building up inside of me.
It was proof, not that I needed any, but disgusting proof about what the anti’s really care about—controlling people’s bodies. They aren’t seeking to SAVE anyone, to SAVE any babies, they just want to stand around and tell people what to do with themselves, and when a crash which threatens the very thing which they are apparently so devoted to protect—LIFE—happens mere feet from them? They didn’t even take a second look.
I didn’t need an example of the hypocrisy and cold hatred these antis have for anyone but themselves, but honestly? I couldn’t have asked for a better, or more horrific one.*(*Everyone appeared to be okay in the accident. The woman started moving around and the old man seemed okay, everyone just looked really shaken up. The accident could have been FAR worse than it was, but thankfully everyone made it out okay.)
Seems like all they are concerned with was pushing their beliefs on everyone else.
